A tiny break

Today was such a fun day! Both of us decided to keng take a breather from our busy lives and stay home.

So we did absolutely nothing productive. Haha.. No housework, except for the washing of plates (which i would have left alone if not for the possiblitly of ka kas in the house), at all.

We slept, ate, swam, slept, ate, watch Boston Legal, sleep.

Heh.. wish we could do that everyday.. and still get paid =/

I am one step closer to learning how to swim. Hate the bloody tan line tho. Wish I could tan naked! haha.. too bad..

It was really fun riding piggyback on dear through the bloody painful waterfalls. haha.. Lucky my husband is no tiny ah beng with no muscles (like a certain ex bf). That will really be quite sad...

Crap

today was absolutely crap.

Fund prices usually come in about 1+ pm, but lately our trustee will shoot one email saying "prices will be late". Today was horrifyingly disgustingly late. Today prices came at bloody 6pm! Usually I would have finished my work by then.

Hurried to send my USD class out and finally go my fx rate back. End up our system hanged and the lovely people over at LUXEMBORG are fixing the damn problem.

That = more time wasting.

Minus this incident, it would have been a lovely day. Not much calls, no adhoc requests. But noooo... due to the "lack of manpower", I had to sit in office and waste time.

argh..

and the best of it all, I could have been at home.

Was going to take an MC but my colleague beat me to it.

Today is quite a good day for me.

1) Had single-handly sourced, liased and set up a meeting with a major service provider (who is bloody hard to contact) this coming wednesday. I mean not that its a big deal, but i did things on my own initiative so hopefully it puts me in good stead. I'll get attend the presentation with my big boss! woots.. That equals me = feeling important! hehehe.. My first meeting (which I dont have to explain anything) ever!

2) Managed to set up a totally new report in the system. Was asked to do the job even though I wasnt in charge of that particular fund so hence me = feeling good! heh..

1 + 2 = edge above my colleagues = better appraisal = better job prospects = promotion = senior officer = assistant manager = manager = head of section = head of department = director = obscene pay!! wahahahahaha....

3) Had a delicious meal ready for me once I reached home! Once I stepped into the house, I could already smell the yummy food. Its really shiok to have a meal prepared by your man. All you have to do is to eat! wahaha.. Dear had put in so much effort, even scalded himself =( He also cleaned and washed up every inch of the kitchen so as not to upset me. haha..

(not like the previous cooking experience with Mr Pang -.- haha... kidding)

Thanks dear for putting in the effort. I really love the food. me ish very happy.....

So 1 + 2 + 3 = Super good day for me = Happy me! = better sex for dear.. haha!!

Wishing and hoping

How I wish that I could make decisions without having to think too much of the consequences. I know thats part of growing up and taking on new responsibility but somtimes it just really takes the fun out of many simple things.

On another note, it really irks me when people undeserving (in my terms) get happiness. The selfish and conniving shouldnt really have good things coming to them so easily. Perhaps it is then that they can wake up their idea and stop being so pretentious and evil. Its really not very fair to those that work hard to achieve the good stuff but then again, reality is unfair to start with so perhaps I should stop complaining >.<

Today had lunch with an old friend at sushi tei.. The conversation was great but the Unagi Tempura was even better! lol... yummy.

Tmr i'm going back there. Having lunch with the tiko fund manager =/ He's so bloody persistent and asking me out for drinks. So agreed to lunch and roped in my super unwilling colleague. Gonna eat one times good one so he'll be scared off. wahaha...

Salmon belly sashimi here i come! heh...
