At Long Last

Its been some time since I posted anything at all. Decided to change my template to the generic ones offered by Blogger cos I am just too lazy to edit the old one. Simplicity is the way to go!

Anyways, I've been on leave the past 2 days cos its dearie's birthday! Happy 25th brithday baby~ I hoped u like the different events I had planned out for you.

For memories sake. I did:

1. Surprised dear on the eve of his bithday with his family members! They bought dinner and I bought cake =) I know he likes it "noisy" so viola! Played some mahjong as well. Guess it is icing on the cake that he won some money. lol..

Speaking of the cake, i had bought a 1 kg chocolate cake and there was no plastic bag given! Apparently, they dont have plastic bags that big. Madness, no? Plus the strings that tied the box was loose! So there was no way I could hold it just by the strings. So I had to balance it on one hand the whole way in the uber crowded train. UNBELIEVABLE. My arm almost cramped up -.-

Anyways..

2. Went Cold Storage @ KAP and almost went crazy grocery shopping. haha... Bought lamb, steaks, salmon, mushrooms, wine etc. The place was nice and big and quiet. Too bad its quite a hassle to get there. Thanks for the ice cream snickers baby =)

3. For the next 2 days, I cooked him dinner, then breakfast, then dinner again! lol.. All very sinful stuff.. I heart the lamb...! Delish~ Looking forward to cooking lamb again..

4. Watched Matrix 1 and 2. We were suppose to watch Dark Knight but we saw some scenes from a Blue-Ray ad and were hooked instantly! haha.. switched to Matrix and had a blast. That show is still cool! Even tho the first movie was made 10 years ago.

Getting very jaded with work. sigh.. I just received an sms from my boss giving me a heads-up about something that had happened at work. Apparently there was an error in the amount in the letters. That doesnt sound too good, especially if the letter were supposed to be mailed out by our vendor yesterday. c.h.u.i

Very tired. Not that I am undervalued at work. In fact, I think my bosses kinda like me. But there hasnt been any form of appreciation. All I hear is "Thanks June", "Well done June" or "Great initative June!" but there has been nothing else. Perhaps I too impatient. We'll see....

But judging from what is gonna be happening on Monday, the probable 2-prong attack might deflate whatever confidence I have at work. Sigh....

Hence, I am feeling very dreadful now. I know I had a long holiday and all and I had a wonderful time, but Monday is weighing on me heavily. Too heavily. sigh....

A tiny break

Today was such a fun day! Both of us decided to keng take a breather from our busy lives and stay home.

So we did absolutely nothing productive. Haha.. No housework, except for the washing of plates (which i would have left alone if not for the possiblitly of ka kas in the house), at all.

We slept, ate, swam, slept, ate, watch Boston Legal, sleep.

Heh.. wish we could do that everyday.. and still get paid =/

I am one step closer to learning how to swim. Hate the bloody tan line tho. Wish I could tan naked! haha.. too bad..

It was really fun riding piggyback on dear through the bloody painful waterfalls. haha.. Lucky my husband is no tiny ah beng with no muscles (like a certain ex bf). That will really be quite sad...

Crap

today was absolutely crap.

Fund prices usually come in about 1+ pm, but lately our trustee will shoot one email saying "prices will be late". Today was horrifyingly disgustingly late. Today prices came at bloody 6pm! Usually I would have finished my work by then.

Hurried to send my USD class out and finally go my fx rate back. End up our system hanged and the lovely people over at LUXEMBORG are fixing the damn problem.

That = more time wasting.

Minus this incident, it would have been a lovely day. Not much calls, no adhoc requests. But noooo... due to the "lack of manpower", I had to sit in office and waste time.

argh..

and the best of it all, I could have been at home.

Was going to take an MC but my colleague beat me to it.

sigh........
